it’s almost
time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She’s finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam’s life.

This sequel is exactly what I was hoping for.
This sequel was not what I was expecting.

Tahereh Mafi’s sequel to Shatter Me is just what the doctor ordered. It is fast-paced, full of emotions running high, and so many moments where you’re wondering what just happend. You’ll be questioning your own thought-process throughout the entire book. You will want somethings, then question why you could possibly think such a thing. Juliette is her own being and that is what makes this book so special. She makes her own decisions by using her own experience and knowledge. Her fear may drive her, but it is her compassion for others and her motivation to live in a place & time that is better than the current one.

Juliette’s touch is lethal, but she loves Adam…so what can she do? So many questions are answered in this book, but so many more are created in the wake of those answers. I truly love Juliette is a heroine in this series because she wants so much more for herself and others and isn’t willing to settle for the bare minimum of tolerable.

If you love science fiction (especially X-Men) and dystopian societies, you will absolutely adore this series. The cover art change is brilliant and adds a whole new element to the creativity of the story. I can’t wait for the next book to see the effects of Juliette’s choices and the direction that Mafi is going with our brave heroine.

Kat C - It’s good to see you all back ! I just got Unravel Me from the library,so I’m all ready to read this one. I like sequels that answer the questions of the first book, so I’m really excited to start.

I have to say, the book is much thicker than I thought it would be, but hopefully it’s a quick read because it is due back in two weeks !ReplyCancel
