Rapunzel’s tower is a satellite. She can’t let down her hair—or her guard.

In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker—unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can.

I was so spoiled by this book, you guys. Why? Because! I hadn’t read Cinder OR Scarlet when I managed to pick up Cress at ALA last June. Em had already read both and raved about them but I started to read Cinder knowing that I had both Scarlet AND Cress waiting in the wings in case I wanted to read all three back to back to back. And I did!

Cress is such a great third book to this series. I got to see old characters, new characters, and Cress, of course, we met in the previous book but only for a few short pages. Tons of twists and turns and I loved how Marissa Meyer incorporated the Rapunzel story into this series. There is also a lot of action in this book and overall, a wonderful leadup to the conclusion – Winter, which doesn’t come out until NEXT YEAR – 2015. I was so spoiled with my ability to read Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress all in a single swoop, that I’m almost sad that I discovered this series – *almost*.:)
